BackupExec Exchange Writer Issues

When you first install and setup Veritas Backup Exec on your windows server you may encounter some issues with backing up your exchange database. This is usually due to conflicts between the Veritas software and Microsoft Exchange.

Generally when a backup fails because of the exchange writer it will give you a link explaining why and how to fix it.

You can disable the exchange-writer with the following registry key .
