Lost Admin Password in Mambo or Joomla

To reset your Administrator password in Mambo.
Look at your configuration.php file. You will need the following variables:
$mosConfig_user = 'username; // MySQL username $mosConfig_password = 'password'; // MySQL password $mosConfig_db = 'databasename'; // MySQL database name $mosConfig_dbprefix = 'mos_'; // Do not change unless you need to!
At the command prompt , execute mysql like this.....
[root@myserver httpdocs]# mysql -u username -p Enter password: password Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or g. Your MySQL connection id is 969185 to server version: 3.23.58-log Type 'help;' or 'h' for help. Type 'c' to clear the buffer. mysql> use databasename
