Cannot Exclude Directories - SBS 2003 Backup Wizard

When trying to configure a Small Business Server backup via the wizard in Server Management you get the following error when trying to exclude certain directories....

"The selected folder is required by the system when restoring your server, or is a subfolder of a folder required by the system. You cannot exclude a required folder." To get around this you need to edit by hand the .bks backup file.

go to
C:Program FilesMicrosoft Windows Small Business ServerBackup

Rename the file Small Business Backup Script.bks to have a .txt extension so you can edit it.

Format is as follows   C: E: E:Ghost /Exclude JET SERVERMicrosoft Information StoreFirst Storage Group
save it, rename it to a .bks and then run the wizard - hey presto you can see the exclusion!!!!
