Add alt-text to an image in a Signature in Outlook 2007
In Outlook 2003 when you composed a signature you could use an "advanced edit" buttom to change alternate code such as "alt text" for images.
In Outlook 2007 this feature is gone, but you can do it by jumping through a few hoops first.
Firstly, add the Alt Text button to the Quick Access Toolbar in Outlook 2007.
1. Start Outlook 2007, open a new e-mail.
2. Click the Microsoft Office Button (that Pizza thingy), and then click Editor Options.
3. Click Customization.
4. In the "Choose Commands From" box, click "Commands Not in the Ribbon".
5. Click Alt Text, and then click Add.
6. Click OK to close the Editor Options dialog box.
Now, you cant see the Quick Access Toolbar in the signature editor, so how do you make use of it?
Create a new message, insert your picture, insert the alt text using the new icon in the Quick Access Toolbar, then, once your happy with it, copy the picture to the clipboard, open the signature editor and paste it there. It copies the picture with the alt text embedded in it.
You've now jumped through all the hoops!!
